Guilt tripped: a note for when you feel bad about making a career change
/You harbour this deep desire for more from your career and by extension, life as a whole...
Yet, a part of you feels bad or guilty even, for wanting to leave or 'give up' the role, job or business you're currently in...
I mean, it's served you well thus far...
It still looks great on paper...
Pays you well...
And people there have counted on you for sooo many things...
I get it. You're responsible and care deeply about your impact.
However...
...have you also considered that whilst you care, and this job has served you well too…
your fears are running wild, convincing and rationalizing that these are the very reasons why you should
stay.

are.
"I don't want to disappoint, make things difficult or hurt anyone. Am I being selfish for wanting more?" they say.
"Will I be seen as valuable if I leave something that looks so great on paper? What if what I do next doesn't look so cool?"
"It's served me so well thus far, I feel like I still owe something more to this role or business. Am I just ungrateful?"
Classic people pleasers ✋️raise your hands.

These are your fears trying to rationalize and convince you that you'd be a 'bad person' for going for a more purpose driven, aligned, joy giving and fulfilling next career move 💔💔.
When did owning your desire for such things, make you 'bad'?
Kinda heartbreaking, huh?!
Hear me out:
And hear me not from fear but from the wise, capable being you truly are...
You can still be grateful for the opportunities you've had AND take ownership of the feeling that you're ready for more.
You can also be responsible for your impact AND go after what will really light you up moving forward.
