One Step At A Time
/"One step at a time" one of my mentors and leaders whispered in my ear on my first coach training weekend in New York City back in 2014.
I'd set myself up a huge challenge of flying back and forth from the UK to New York every month to complete an expensive training on a minimum wage job and a family who didn't want me to do it.
"One step at a time" is actually one of the things I held onto throughout that year and ultimately helped me through. Through the fear of failure, the overwhelm and every hurdle I encountered.
A part of me believed that what I’d set out to do was possible even if some of those around me didn’t and it was my time to prove to myself (and others) that it was.
That sliver of possibility when I started eventually became reality. One. Step. At. A. Time.
